What is a Guild?
A Guild is an association of persons of the same trade of pursuits formed for the advancement of professional interest, and to maintain a high standard of quality work being produced.
About Our Guild
The Artist Guild of Central MN was created in April 2011 to be a business and educational resource for artists, and to advocate for fine arts. The guild also seeks to provide opportunities for artistic expression, education, and appreciation in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The Artist Guild of Central MN is an active association of professional visual artists. The artists of the Guild work to generate opportunities for our member artists, and friends of the Guild. The Artist Guild of Central MN maintains a current website, with social media interfaces, along with brochures and advertising to promote our visibility.
AGCM activities include organizing exhibitions, workshops, and targeted marketing for sales of artwork. We expect all of our members to create the highest quality artwork possible, and to work cooperatively to promote the goals of our organization.
We seek to foster a deep appreciation for area artists, while facilitating the exhibition of original, dynamic works of art. We aim to establish a strong database of artists and art services, to create sales and opportunities by cultivation and enhancing a local collector base of patrons.
The AGCM meets on a monthly basis. Our meeting formats vary according to what we have currently happening, but monthly topics consist of: Sharing and critique of member work, discussion of new opportunities and exhibitions, and sharing the latest news of events in the art world.

If you are a dedicated Central MN artist looking to expand your horizons and opportunities, consider applying for membership with our group. Members meet monthly to discuss exhibit opportunities, critique our work, plan future shows, and share promotional ideas. Plus, we really enjoy the company of our fellow artists, and just discussing all things related to art!

1. Contact us to let us know of your interest, and tell us a little about yourself and your art.
2. Submit a Resume, and a brief Artist Statement.
3. Attach 5 quality jpeg images of current work, and/or the link to your artist website, for review by our group.
Our group will review the application during our next monthly meeting following the receipt of the information.A jury process by members will decide acceptance, or non-acceptance at this time. The applicant will be contacted with the decision.
Upon acceptance, a $100 membership fee will be due. This fee helps us to fund our shows and group activities. September 1st marks the beginning of our fiscal year, and the date when our annual $100/per member dues are paid. New members will be pro-rated according to when they join.
